The Core Microscopy Facility (CMF) assists faculty and student researchers with projects that utilize advanced microscopy equipment and techniques. In addition to housing the Biology Departments specialized research microscopes, the CMF maintains equipment and supplies for preparation of specimens for electron, transmitted light, and confocal microscopic analysis. The CMF is home to a Hitachi H-600 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and a Zeiss LSM 5 Pascal Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope (CLSM) (above).
