They may have new deadlines about the same time for subsequent years.  The ones that you need a faculty member to nominate you for - You can give a faculty member(s) information on the scholarship/award, a list of your accomplishments, and tell them that you would be interested in being  nominated if they decide you would be appropriate.   Some years for some awards it is suprising how few applicants there are so if a description says "Preference for...." don't assume you wouldn't get it if you don't meet the preference.


The O'Brien VRBA Scholarship Trust:
Available to both Grad and UG students
UG: renewable for up to 3 yrs to a max of $8,000
Grad: renewable for 1 year with a max of $4,000

May 2000 Commencement Speakers
each dept may nominate one graduating senior
each student must submit an outline and 2-page draft of proposed message.  The college's student advisory council will review the nominees' records and determine two students to speak.  Deadline to Dean Doederlein is noon, March 22, 2000.

Harry Truman Scholarship: rising college seniors who wish to attend grad school in prep for careers in public service

Kishwaukee Community Hospital Auxiliary's scholarships: to college students who are DeKalb County residents and pursuing health care careers; applications available in January.
