• WebCutter
  Finds restriction sites.
• Translation of DNA sequence to protein
• Primer design for PCR
• Tool for checking primers for bad characteristics
• Other useful DNA sequence tools (from IDT)

Sequence Comparison Tools

• National Center for Biological Information (NCBI)
  Entrez, BLAST, Taxonomy, and more. This is the main site in the US for sequence comparison work.
• ExPASy
  Major site for protein information. I like the PROSITE and ENZYME sections a lot.
• Expressed Sequence Tag (EST) database at NCBI
• Clustal site
  Multiple sequence alignments.
• Search OMIM (Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man) for specific traits, diseases, genes, etc.

Arabidopsis Information

• The main Arabidopsis information site
• Arabidopsis genes sequenced at TIGR
• Cold Spring Harbor Arabidopsis course
• List of Arabidopsis database links

  Good technical information, especially for restriction enzymes.
